Cheap Market Held in Pademangan

The implementation of cheap market initiated by Jakarta Provincial Government cooperated with Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol at RPTRA Budi Mulia, Pademangan Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-district, North Jakarta was enthusiastically participated by local residents.

The cheap market was officially opened by Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono.

Resident of RT 02/07, Pademangan Barat Urban Village, Ehawati (55), admitted happy and thanked Jakarta Provincial Government for providing the program.

"I only spent Rp 100,000 to get 5kg of rice, 2 kg of cooking oil, 1kg of flour, and sugar. It is cheaper compared to the market," she said, Thursday (2/1).

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim, explained similar program will be held simultaneously in all urban village by cooperating with BUMD and private.

"The program is aimed to handle inflation rate in Jakarta, as well as fulfilling the basic needs for residents," he explained.

The program prepared 1,000 staple food packages for resident of Pademangan Barat Urban Village, Pademangan Timur and Ancol Urban Village.

"Local resident's were enthusiast to attend the program. We'll make sure similar program will remain be held up to Eid ul Fitr," he closed.
